Giving for Christmas
Kathie Robson writes:
We are anticipating between 200–250 families in need of trees this year. We certainly aren’t expecting the Colorado Tree Farmers to provide all of these trees, but we will certainly take as many as they can offer us! We also are not expecting perfect trees, as we realize these are your money makers, we are willing to take any 6-8’ trees of average quality as well as imperfect trees of any variety. All donations will be greatly appreciated and will truly make a difference!
We only cover Northern Colorado, mainly Ft. Collins, Loveland, Greeley and surrounding areas. We do not have a drop site, but we have volunteers that are willing to go pick them up as well as go and cut them down!
We will be delivering the trees on Sat. Dec 1st and Sat. Dec 8th, so we would need to make arrangements prior to Thanksgiving, which falls late this year on the 29th. We have a storage facility in Berthoud, so we are able to collect trees and then store them until delivery.
If you have any other questions please give either myself or Ryan Behm a call. Ryan can be reached at (970) 222-5678. Thank you so much for helping us out this year and we look forward to working with the Colorado Tree Farmers to help provide “The Gift of a Green Christmas Tree” to many Northern Colorado families.

Thank you
Last Saturday, the Colorado State Forest Service and Mark and Karen Morgan from Morgan Timber Products conducted some of the most informative and useful demonstrations that I have ever attended. There were in-the-field tours interspersed with hands on demonstrations of fire restoration techniques and plenty of opportunities to do it yourself.
A local church volunteer group used the event to learn how to better assist landowners in the High Park burn area and our local state senator and representative joined in as well.
Please join me in thanking Mike Hughes, Jamie Dahl and her Volunteers, Boyd Lebeda, Greg Zausen, and Mark and Karen Morgan for making last Saturday one of the most informative and useful events Tree Farmers have have hosted. Wes
